The Spacemakers studio was commissioned by the Portuguese Football Federation to design the interior of the renovated restaurant and café at Cidade do Futebol in Caxias.
The concept is rooted in a sense of Portuguese identity—a space with a familiar and welcoming atmosphere, where local materials take center stage. Handcrafted ceramic tiles, locally produced textiles, wood, iron, and glass come together to form a palette that celebrates the best of Portuguese craftsmanship.
In the center of the space stands an oversized planter filled with olive trees—an element that evokes Mediterranean tranquility and invites conversation and sharing. On the outdoor terrace, which flows seamlessly into the interior, a new covered social area has been created, featuring two lounge seating areas.
The result is a comfortable, functional, and distinctive space that reinforces the hospitality of Cidade do Futebol—inviting guests to enjoy everything from formal meals to informal gatherings and moments of inspiration.
