Presidential Foyer — FPF

Atelier Spacemakers was commissioned to design the interior of the foyer at the headquarters of the Portuguese Football Federation—a space for reception and institutional representation where every design decision carries the weight and precision that the institution demands.

The starting point was clear: walls clad in birch wood paneling, with the FPF emblems carved in high relief. A setting with its own distinct character and presence, one that didn’t need to be transformed—it needed to be completed in a coherent manner.

The circle is the shape that organizes the space. A large skylight cuts through the ceiling and distributes natural light throughout the room. A round rug frames and defines the living area. Cylindrical wooden coffee tables anchor the composition. Surrounding them, a cream-colored fabric sofa and armchairs in mocha tones create a layout that balances warmth and formality.

An intervention that does not impose itself—but integrates. That does not compete with what already exists—but complements it. The result is a space that feels like a natural part of the building from the very first glance.
