L´And Vineyards Villa
L´And Vineyards | Montemor, Portugal
Architectural project is by José Paulo dos Santos, Spacemakers studio was invited to develop the execution and interior design project, which included more structural aspects, such as the suppression of several walls by changes in the layout of the interior and exterior space; selection of finishing materials and the definition of the entire decoration.
The Villa is a reinterpretation of the patio houses that refer to the Arab presence in the Alentejo architecture, with a strong indoor-outdoor connection, of clean lines, with wide spaces and large openings of light.
Designed to be a family's weekend hideaway, the space required comfort, originality and authenticity, which, from the owners' perspective, had to be contemporary.
A project that resulted in a fusion of inspirations, where the old coexists with the new and the classic with the irreverent, where the fluidity of space allows the use of larger scale furniture, and the light base tones offer minimal comfort. The result was a personalized and unmistakable family haven.
